On February 11th and 12th, 2025, the final meeting of the WES - WomenEmpSport project, developed under the Erasmus+ program, took place in Palermo, Italy. During the meeting, the partners have shared the results achieved, exchanged best practices and discussed the final steps of the project.
The main goal of the WES project is to promote the socialization and support of women in vulnerable situations by enhancing their potential, personal and sports skills. The project has been successfully implemented over two years, thanks to the devoted work of five non-governmental organizations from four European countries: Greece, Italy, Spain, and Bulgaria, represented by the "DA - United Against Violence" Foundation. The "DA" Foundation is a non-profit legal entity for carrying out activities for the public benefit, with a focus on victims of domestic violence and multiple discrimination, and is one of the organizations that during the last two years participated actively in achieving the goals set in the project.
