Target Group: Students from University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, judges, prosecutors, police officers, lawyers, social workers, psychologists and NGO representatives.
Participants: Students from the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, judges from Plovdiv Regional, District and Court of Appeals, a Representative of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Plovdiv, police officers from Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, experts from the Plovdiv Regional Office of Execution of Punishments, the Social Department Director from Plovdiv.
3 moderators from Gender Alternatives Foundation and presenters – Mr. Matey Matev – from the Regional Directorate of the
Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mr. Ivan Ranchev PhD – a judge in the Court of Appeal, Mrs. Nadya Taneva – Director of the Social Department-Plovdiv and Mrs. Ginka Lazarova from the Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Plovdiv.
Program: International and European standards for protection against domestic violence. The practice of Gender Alternatives Foundation in this respect. National legal framework for protection against domestic violence and the GAF’s practice. The psychologists’ role in cases of domestic violence and GAF’s practice. The rights and the responsibilities of Regional Prosecutors’ Office, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Regional Directorate of Social Assistance in cases of domestic violence. The practice of Plovdiv Court of Appeals in cases of domestic violence. Summary. Feedback.
