The activity was carried out within the project № 15-00-262 / 2014 - "Effective implementation of the Law on Protection against Domestic Violence", financially supported by the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice.

   The seminar gathered together the members of the working group created under the project as well as experts from NGOs, social workers and prosecutors. Thus, judges, prosecutors, police officers, social workers and lawyers prepared an analysis of the main problems during the implementation of the legislation on domestic violence. They also discussed the needs of all the experts in order to better implement the legislation as well the law amendments needed in order to do so.

   The participants had the opportunity to visit two of the crisis centres in the city of Plovdiv, namely the Crisis centre for women victims of domestic and the Crisis centres for children victims of trafficking and domestic violence.

   At the end of the event, a program for cooperation with the Plovdiv District Court and the was discussed and drafted.
