At the end of June 2018, a group of youth peers was invited to test the beta version of an online simulative game for prevention of sexual violence and harassment. The activity was one of the main activities under the CONVEY project -Counteracting Sexual Abuse and Harassment: Attracting Youths from Schools in Digital Education (Ref JUST / 2015 / RDAP / AG / SEXV / 8572), co-funded by the European Union, Program for Rights, Equality and Citizenship (01.09.2016 - 28.02.2019). The online game was presented to a group of 15 young people, aged 13-18, who had the honor to test first the two parts of the game.
The Gender Alternatives Foundation launches its first artistic project "Women in Urban and Rural Areas - an Overview of Their Role in Society". The project is part of the cultural program of Plovdiv European Capital of Culture 2019 and is co-funded by "Plovdiv 2019" Municipal Foundation under the program "Community Centers (Chitalista) - Community Participation and Innovation".
The initiative aims to organize a traveling exhibition in five regions of Bulgaria - Plovdiv, Pazardjik, Smolyan, Kardzhali, Haskovo in the period 09.2018 – 02.2019. It will visualize the everyday life of Bulgarian women, promote their localities and provoke a discussion about the role of women in society.

Capacity building training for using complaints procedures under the Optional Protocol to CEDAW
On 03-05.06.2018, by invitation of the Macedonian Helsinki Committee, Milena Kadieva from Gender Alternatives Foundation, prepared and conducted a training on the use and implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women.
The training was conducted in Strumitsa, Macedonia.
15 legal practitioners and representatives of the non-governmental organizations in Macedonia were trained how to draft and prepare individual communications and to conduct inquiries before the CEDAW Committee in the area of violence against women.
On 18th of May, 2018 in the branch “Paisiy Hilendarski” University in Smolyan city was held a Round Table on "No violence against girls and women" and a discussion on the presentation of the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention and Combating of Violence over women and domestic violence. The event is part of the project of the Women's Club "Rodopchanka" - Smolyan city, which is funded by the Bulgarian Women's Fund (BFZ). A guest lecturer was a lawyer Milena Kadieva from the Gender Alternatives Foundation, who shared good practices, made an analysis of the legislation on the subject and presented the accents of the Convention.
A competition for drawings, photographs and posters on the topic "STOP of violence against girls and women!" was carried out among the students from the Vocational School of Applied Arts – Smolyan city. After the discussion was opened an exhibition with the received works, the results of the competition were announced and the distinguished students were awarded.
